Software
Visual Studio Code
Code editor of choice. I have tried many others but, VSCode just works best for me.
Check it outApple Music
A good playlist helps eleviate stress. It was a no brainer really, due to already having a foot in Apple's ecosystem. I have linked one of my playlists that exists in a state of constant flux and helps me get in the zone while working.
Check it outAndroid Studio
IDE for developing Android apps. Can be quite heavy but, my machine is more than capable of handling it.
Check it outXCode
IDE for developing iOS apps. Pretty much a requirement if you are going to publish apps to Apple's app store.
Check it outDocker
Makes deploying apps so much easier. Especially if I need to give a quick demo.
Check it outTerminal
Crucial and handy. I have homebrew installed and this allows for easy installation, updating and deletion of packages that I may require while working.
Hardware
Macbook Pro (16 inch), 2019
2.3GHz 8‑core Intel Core i9, Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz, with 16MB shared L3 cache, 16GB of 2666MHz DDR4 onboard memory, 1TB SSD storage
Apple iPhone Xs Max
Physical test device for iOS apps. Space Grey, 4GB RAM, 512GB internal storage, A12 Bionic Processor.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
Physical test device for Android apps. Aura Black, 12GB RAM, 512GB internal storage, 512GB SD Card, Exynos 9825 Processor.
Apple Magic Mouse 2
Provides gesture support. Makes navigation feel flawless. Much like swiping and tapping on a touchscreen without having to actually touch the screen. Some may dislike like it but I don’t think I could move back to a traditional mouse. My only gripe with it is the location of the charging port.
Apple Magic Keyboard 2
Due to the fact that the laptop has a tendency to get hot while working, this helps establish a comfortable distance to avoid arm fatigue.
Readaeer Portable Foldable Laptop Computer Desk Stand
Allows for the elevation of the machine thus enabling efficient airflow and cooling especially when running heavy tasks.
